Frequently asked questions
Is it safe to meet you in person?
Local appointments happen at times and public or agreed locations that work for both sides, and we confirm everything in writing beforehand. You always know who you're meeting — Mike in Florida, Ed in New York — and nothing changes hands until you're comfortable.
How do I know your offer is fair?
We show our work. Offers start from recent comparable sales, then account for real selling costs — marketplace fees, shipping, and time to sell. Ask about any card and we'll walk you through the math. You're also always free to decline, and consignment exists precisely for cards where you want the market to decide.
How does authenticity checking work?
We inspect raw cards by hand for signs of tampering, reprints, and alteration, and verify graded slabs against the grading company's records where available. If we're uncertain, we say so — and no deal moves forward until both sides are satisfied.
What happens to my photos and personal information?
Your submission — including photos — is used only to evaluate your collection and contact you about it. Photos are stored privately and are never published. We don't sell your information. See the Privacy Policy (draft pending attorney review) for the full picture.
How and when do I get paid?
For direct sales, we agree on the price and the payment method before anything changes hands, and payment methods are confirmed during that conversation. For consignments, payouts follow each completed sale under the terms in your agreement. We'll confirm the exact details when we talk.
How does mail-in work? Is my collection protected?
Mail-in starts with the intake form — never with shipping. If your collection is a fit, we walk you through packing and shipping step by step, and every card that arrives is logged, photographed, and condition-documented on intake, so there's a record both sides can trust. We'll confirm shipping and protection details when we talk.
Do you buy bulk? What about cards that aren't worth much?
Yes — everything from bulk commons to graded slabs gets a fair look. Bulk pricing is by volume and honest: we'll tell you when something is worth more effort than it returns, and when you're better off keeping it.
What if you decline my collection?
Then you'll hear it straight, with the reasons. Sometimes we're not the right buyer — and where we can, we'll point you somewhere better. A decline never costs you anything.
